These superb quality straps are made in Switzerland from a very special dual-density polymer compound. Thanks to that special material, these straps are very comfortable, strong, extremely lightweight and do not absorb any water! With a total weight of 65g only, the weight advantage compared to a 4 wet neoprene strap set can be as much as 700g. Being more direct and less slippery than neoprene straps you gain a very direct and connected hold on your board. They are also far more durable than neoprene straps and can confidently be moved from board to new board so the higher initial cost makes more sense.

These straps are particularly suited to lightweight speed and slalom boards where the very low weight and direct connection really gives you a superbly confident sense of controlled performance. On wave and freestyle boards you may still prefer the softer feel of standard padded neoprene straps. However the higher stretch with Kovalskis may help reduce the risk of foot injuries.

The straps should be paired with Kovalski platelets. These are very strong, stiff, light and multi-functional. It has a large surface area that applies a high even clamping pressure, so that the strap cannot twist when mounted with just 1 screw per side.

The holes are in a asymmetrical position, so that you can turn the plate 180° to achieve a precise and comfortable width for the feet. If you turn both plates, it's just the difference between barefoot and boots.

Loosen the screws for an easy adjustment to change the strap size from summer-sailing to cold winter boot-sailing style.
The outer holes are "oval" to allow a correct angle for the screws.
